Opened in November 1992, and managed since 2006 by HotelCorp, The Emerald Hotel is located in the midst of one of Bangkok’s busiest commercial and entertainment hubs and remains a favourite with both business and holiday travellers. Unlike most major cities there is no “central or downtown” Bangkok. Instead there are three or four different areas in the city which all provide shopping, entertainment and business facilities. The Emerald Hotel is in one of these areas on Rachadapisek Road, commonly abbreviated to “Rachada”.

Location:
The Hotel is conveniently located within 2 minutes walk to one of Bangkok’s underground (MRT) stations Huai Kwang. Train journeys ranging from 10 to 20 minutes will take you on to some other well known shopping and entertainment areas such as Sukhumvit, Silom and Siam Square. Travelling in the opposite direction will also take you direct to Bangkok’s famous weekend markets “Chatuchak”. Using the MRT and the above ground Skytrain connection you can also easily get to the Chaopaya River where river cruise boats depart regularly from underneath the station.
